🍇  First Winery Visit – The Northern Slope of Etna.

Our journey begins on the northern face of Mount Etna, one of the most renowned areas for Etna DOC wines.

Here, lava flows, ancient stone terraces, and cooler climate conditions give birth to elegant, mineral-rich reds and vibrant whites.

At the winery, you will:

• Visit the vineyards and cellar with a local expert
• Learn about traditional and modern winemaking techniques on volcanic soil
• Taste 3 to 4 wines, including Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, paired with local delicacies (cheeses, bread, olive oil)

This slope is known for its structured, age-worthy wines and dramatic landscapes.

🚐  Drive across the Volcano – Change of Altitude, Change of Perspective.

After the first tasting, we cross the Etna countryside, enjoying panoramic views of the volcano’s changing terrain, passing small lava villages and chestnut forests, to reach a completely different wine zone.

🍷  Second Winery Visit – The Southeastern Slope.

Our second stop is in the southeastern area of Etna, closer to the Ionian coast. The climate here is milder, and the wines reflect a softer, more aromatic character.

This winery experience includes:

• A walk through the vineyards with views toward the sea
• A guided tasting of 3 to 4 wines, showing the contrast with the northern expressions
• A light lunch or generous tasting of typical local products, such as cured meats, caponata, fresh ricotta, or seasonal specialties

Here, you’ll experience the human warmth of family-run estates and the rich biodiversity of this side of the mountain.
